The Safe Routes to Health AmeriCorps Program at the Michigan Fitness Foundation (SR2H) engages 20 half-time AmeriCorps members to provide service in select Michigan communities between October 2020 and September 2021.
SR2H Members will focus on serving people with unmet health needs in underserved, low-income communities listed above. Using a multigenerational approach, SR2H Members will connect citizens to health, wellness, and physical activity programs with assistance from community volunteers that members recruit.
SR2H Members will receive valuable and transferable training to deliver programs that supports citizens and communities with the tools to eat healthy and be active.

AmeriCorps is America’s National Service initiative offering a network of national service programs to improve lives and foster civic engagement.
